Sires Produce update

The bookies might be talking it up, but I still like More Strawberries, despite being perhaps a little under the odds.

PUNTERS SEARCH FOR SIRES PRODUCE VALUE

Punters are betting around the Golden Slipper form of More Strawberries and Hinchinbrook in the Sires Produce with big money coming for the likes of Toorak Toff, Hidden Kisses and Skorost at Sportingbet Australia.

Toorak Toff’s odds have been slashed from $23 in opening markets to $9.00 while Hidden Kisses has been $51 to $23 and Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said the favourites had been friendless.

“We have taken some big bets on some of the roughies and can’t write the favourites names,” Sullivan said.

“More Strawberries has been $2.50 to $2.70 while Hinchinbrook has been $3.20 to $3.50 and I am desperate to take them both on.

“Both horses are racing for the third week in a row which is a huge ask for two year olds and at these odds I think they are both a risk.”

Sullivan said punters had latched on to the fresh horses on the scene .

“We took a bet of $165,000 to $5000 each way on Hidden Kisses after there had already been good money at $51,” he said.

“One of the first bets we took was on Toorak Toff which was to take out $20,000 at $23 and more money came at $13 and $11.”
