One Sportingbet Australia punter has plenty of reason for celebration after landing a remarkable Melbourne Cup trifecta.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said the punter snared himself a profit of $37,258 by outlaying only $24.
“Usually people snare the Cup trifecta by boxing up several runners,” said Sullivan.
“But this fellow managed to isolate the three placegetters and took the trifecta four times.
“Congratulations to him, it’s a remarkable effort.”
